Nero Scuro is extremely proud of having supported Andrea Faggiana on his journey throughout the Italian Barista Championship by providing our specialty coffees.
He qualified to the finale just twelve days before, at the Barista Trial held in Florence hold on the 7th of January, with an espresso and milk drink extracted using our Costa Rica Calle Lilles Microlot, and signature drinks based on the Rwanda Kamiro Yamagabe.
In the Sigep finale, held in Rimini over the last weekend, he extracted our newly profiled Kenya Gatuya AA in all the three drinks. He passed the semi-final round on Saturday qualifying for yesterday’s Gran Finale.
Unfortunately, an overtime penalty during the grand finale negatively contributed to his score and he ended up on the sixth place. Not too bad for a first attempt and with only two weeks to prepare the trial!
Thanks and congratulations, Andrea, for having made us proud. Next year will be certainly yours!
